Our Year 3 and 4 children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Clitheroe castle as part of their 'Impact of the Normans' topic. They learned about the different parts of a Motte and Bailey castle , rebuilding a model with sand and lollipop sticks, and about why Clitheroe castle was built and how it has changed.
Some of our Year 5 children attended a cluster Dance workshop at Brookside Primary School today. The were introduced to tap and street dancing and had a great time, working with children from our local cluster schools.
Children in school have loved every minute of our Science week . All children have enjoyed watching the Travelling Science Show and KS1 children were excited to meet all the Zoo Lab animals. Class teachers have planned a range of exciting investigations all week. Thanks to those parents who have come in to talk about their Science related careers and also to Mrs Govender for organising the entire week.
Don't forget to take part in the Science competition over half term !
