Queen Elizabeth
In history this term we are studying and celebrating our queen - Queen Elizabeth. We will be learning all about her life, her role in society today and how she is truly a significant person in our history.
This week we considered who is Queen Elizabeth, who were her predecessors and who makes up part of the modern ‘Royal Family’.
2/1W Coronation Re-enactment
Today we were learning about what happened during the Coronation ceremony in which Princess Elizabeth took the oath rule our country with justice and respect. We watched the actual coronation ceremony before taking on different roles to re-enact the ceremony.
The children in 21W wanted to share some of their knowledge about Queen Elizabeth. This afternoon they have been busy writing reports about the queen’s life and reign which could be shared with our children in EYFS. Their reports demonstrate how well they have been listening in both history and English.
