This term 1D are studying the Hindu religion.

We began learning about different roles and occupation people have and the skills they require. In later weeks this will relate to the devotion Hindu`s have to their Gods.

Week 1

Our lesson involved going outside in the Wildlife Garden to find and solve clues for occupations. The children worked with their friends reading and problem solving.

The children produced some great work linked to occupations

Week 2

We have been thinking about devotion and what qualities a good friend has. The children came up with some lovely caring ideas displaying their work in a flower to present to their friend.

Week 3 and 4

We have been learning that Hindus believe in more than one God. The children enjoyed learning about the different powers of the Gods. Please look at their wonderful work

Week 6

We ended our Hindu topic by having a visit from our amazing Faith Ambassador.

The children were fascinated to hear all about his religion and thought of the following questions to ask.

How many Gods do you have?

What do you have to do with the tray?

What is the bell for?

What are all the Gods called?

How do you pray?

What do you put on your head?

What is it like being a Hindu?

The children then used their knowledge to create Hindu Gods.
