What thought about what animals come from hot and cold places, before asking questions such as ‘do I live in a rainforest?’ We sorted the animals into a grid identifying where they lived.

We also sorted key words relevant to hot and cold places before presenting what we found out.

Comparing the Sahara desert with Antarctica, we focussed on using ‘I can see’ to support our understanding. We also learnt about rainforests and type of weather you would find....

We are beginning to learn about the continents and how to locate them. We used a globe, iPads and also learnt a continents song.

We thought about the hot and cold places we already knew, before using atlases to help us discover further. We found out about the Equator and how countries closest to it are the hottest.
