Promoting Fundamental British Values.
In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British Values to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
The Key Values are:
Clitheroe Pendle Primary School reflects British values in all that we do. We nurture our pupils on their journey through life so they grow into caring, responsible and tolerant adults who make a positive difference to British society and to the wider world. We encourage them to be creative, unique, open-minded and independent individuals, respectful of themselves and others in our school, our local community and beyond.
Our School Values support much of the work in promoting British Values.
At Clitheroe Pendle we will actively challenge pupils, staff or parents expressing opinions contrary to fundamental British Values, including ‘extremist’ views.
