A message from Mrs Keighley

Hello Everyone,

Some super building work being done this week as well as some amazing cooking. Great maths work and much more. It's good to see that some of you share my hobbies - gardening and a love of wildlife and nature.

Some of you may have had a walk by West Bradford Bridge, that's where I went yesterday and what an interesting walk it was!
First of all I saw a duck with her ducklings paddling behind her, she didn't like the look of me, you've never heard such a to do trying to shoo me away.

Here are a few questions for you:

Can ducks fly?
What is a male duck called?

Then I saw some much bigger birds called Canada Geese. They too had babies.

What are baby geese called?

Do you think that a goose is an omnivore or a herbivore?

But the next bird was a really big surprise. I could see something huge and white sitting on a rock in the middle of the river. It was a beautiful swan just standing there looking very proud.

Do you know what male and female swans are called?
What is a baby swan called?

I hope they're all still there if you decide to go for a walk!
Have a good week, stay safe, be good for your grown-ups and keep on working hard.

Love from

Mrs. Keighley xx
