World Book Day
The theme this year was ‘Bedtime Stories’ we loved coming to school in our pyjamas ❤️ How cosy!
We really enjoyed visiting the ‘Reading Cafe’ with 2M.
We looked at the wordless book Journey by the author Aaron Becker.
The book is about a lonely girl, she draws a magic door on her bedroom wall and through it escapes into a world where wonder, adventure, and danger abound. Red marker in hand, she creates a boat, a balloon, and a flying carpet that carry her on a spectacular journey toward an uncertain destiny. When she is captured by a sinister emperor, only an act of tremendous courage and kindness can set her free. Can it also lead her home and to her heart’s desire?
We then created our own imaginary worlds. It was lovely to share our worlds with our friends.

Stop & Read - the school bell rang twice during the day, we stopped everything to read for pleasure. Mrs Nunns joined us to read too! ⏰📚
We began the day with 5 minutes of World Book Day themed mindfulness colouring. We are going to take these home to complete if we want to.
