Victorian washday
We looked at the historical artefacts and predicted what they were in groups. Some of us were really close with our ideas and were fantastic history detectives!
We learnt the names of each of the artefacts and then re-enacted a Victorian wash day. We had a turn at using the posser or the dolly to wash the washing in the dolly tub. Emilia had the job of scrubbing a stubborn stain with carbolic soap and a scrubbing brush against the washboard!
