This half term our topic in Design Technology is food.
This week we looked at the 5 food groups in greater detail. We looked at examples form each group and how much we should each of each group daily. We then recorded our findings on an 'Eat Well Plate' We know it is important to eat a balanced diet to stay healthy.
We started our topic by discussing various types of foods. We also discussed the foods groups which certain types of foods belong to. We know it is important to each a balanced diet to stay healthy.
We discussed our favourite and least favourite foods in groups. We then listed a range of popular and unpopular foods. It was interesting to discover the different foods we enjoyed eating and those we do not. We discovered everyone has their own preferences and we cannot assume someone will like a particular type of food just because we do!
