Summer 2

Wow! We have had some excellent examples of children’s homework this half term. The children had created some fantastic animals with recyclable materials.

Living things and their habitats

This half term we would like all of our children to complete the same challenge as part of our end of year celebrations. We would like the children to design and create an animal made from recycled materials. Their animal should be able to live in a woodland/grassy habitat. It should consist of at least 3 different parts. For instance, it might have the head of a fly, the body of a frog and the wings of an owl. We would like the children to bring their creations in with a short description or annotated diagram explaining why they chose the parts they did.

We would like to celebrate with our animals by having a picnic in the school grounds, eating our DT sandwiches around the end of term. A date will be added later and the children will be kept up to date of their timescales.

Please see the picture below of earlier creations.
