Our Town- Clitheroe

During this topic the children will design their own enquiries about their town. Considering questions such as-  Why do people visit Clitheroe?  What do they do when they get here?  How many people visit Clitheroe?  Where to they go?

Can you identify which map is from- 1890? 1950? and 2020?

We looked at maps of Clitheroe from 1890, 1950 and 2020. We looked at how our town has expanded, developed and how land use and industries have changed over the years. We looked used the scales on the maps to help us gain a better understanding of the expansion. 

We have been considering what makes Clitheroe a good place to live and visit. We have created some travel broachers and promotional films using our iPads.
