Summer 1: Themes and Variation: Pop Art
We blew Mrs McLeod’s socks off today! (And now she has to bring in treats next music lesson....!) We were asked to learn the theme for ‘A Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’. We then had to take the notes and patterns and recreate the theme.
We have been learning about themes and variations through the classical piece 'A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra' by Britten. Today we thought about the different instrument families and which pop art image we would relate them to. There were no 'wrong' answers as long as we could explain our decisions (which we did really well!)
