Week Beginning 13th May

Lots of fun for Rainbow Day! We completed lots of rainbow themed challenges and enjoyed opening the classrooms to share with 1RL!

We sieved flour to look at the raindrops we had caught! We explored the puddles. It was amazing how quickly our puddles got smaller and smaller.

We enjoyed learning about the wasp nest that R’s grandma had found. The children talked about it being damaged and delicate.

We have baked some more delicious pizzas. We do our own washing up too!

Week Beginning 22nd April

Always proud of our superstar writers!

We had a special mission to draw our shoe! We had to look very closely to create closed shapes and add details.

Investigating colour mixing.

We have applied our knowledge of colour mixing to print our own patchwork Elmers.

We investigated how colours change when we add more white and more of the same colour. We used words such as darker, lighter and shade to describe what we saw.

A super week practising our cycling skills!

We have started to use a number line for addition and subtraction, paying close attention to which way we need to count along the number line.

Week Beginning 15th April

Ted needed help to teach our super learner aliens about colours!

We have been practising counting starting from and stopping at different numbers. We have also been identifying numbers inbetween other numbers.

Rainbow coloured inspired art!

Incy Wincy keeps getting washed out in the rain! We tested different materials to see if they were waterproof, then designed and made our own shelters based on what we observed.

Superstar writers!

A busy first week back! These children built their own model of Big Ben, rainbow drawings and a Lego titanic and ice berg!

It was no surprise our new superhero jigsaws were a big hit!

This term we are making a delicious pizza each with Mrs Hailwood.
