Summer 1 Islam
We were lucky enough to have 2 beautiful prayer mats in school that we looked at. We then designed our own prayer mats using symbols from Islam and symmetrical patterns
Today we started to learn about Islam and how Muslims pray five times a day. We looked at the ritual of Wudu (washing before prayer) and wrote instructions for this

Routines and rituals
Our new topic started with thinking of our own routines in day to day life. We wrote down a daily routine chart then acted them out for our partners to guess. We ended the lesson with thinking of any rituals we have learnt about in other religions so far.
