The children have enjoyed learning all about sharing.
The children have been dividing by sharing.
We have been halving odd numbers by counting out the 'cookies', sharing them so they are equal.
The children have been halving the number of spots by sharing the spots between the ladybirds two wings.
The children have been learning all about doubling by adding the same number together. They used the ladybird's wings to show how they doubled the number by adding the same number of spots on each side.
We have been exploring the school grounds for 3D shapes in the environment. Can you see the cylinders, cuboids, spheres and cones that we found?
The children have been learning about time, they sorted a selection of pictures according to if the happened before school or after school.
The children have been finding a quarter of a shape. They learnt that a quarter is four equal parts. They tried to cut their play dough into 4 equal parts.
The children have been finding out about fractions. We have been halving shapes.
