Dear all, 

Please use this time to create your homework piece and your crown. You know we expect the highest quality for all of your work and this project should take a good deal of time. For those of you that have completed a piece of homework already, you may choose to complete another item from the list.

 

Alternatively, you may complete the following:

Create an information leaflet linking to a topic of your choice. Try to include headings, subheadings, captions , labelled diagrams, pictures and fact boxes. Homework 1.

As a school, we will be celebrating the coronation of King Charles III. Please create a hat or a crown to be worn at school during our celebrations and wear this in school on the 5th May 2023.

 

Homework 2.

Please choose one option below and complete your assignment by the 5th May 2023. Return your completed work to school for a celebration of your achievement and marking.

 

Art

To link with our art unit this half term, create a stamp using dots in the pointillist style of Paul Seurat to celebrate the coronation. Look at examples of stamps below as a guide.

This half term we will be investigating states of matter  - solids, liquids and gases.

Create a piece of party food for the coronation where the ingredients have to change their state, e.g water to ice, cake mixture to a cake, chocolate from solid to liquid. Send in photos or evidence of your creations.

Geography

Complete a river walk with your family and create a PowerPoint presentation with photographs of your journey. Please look out for any of the physical of natural features in the surroundings. Can you find an example of a meander, or spot any river wildlife? Can you spot any areas where the land around the river is prone to flooding? Does the river change as a result of heavy or low rainfall?
