Comparing Leaves.
We learnt about Agnes Arber a botanist, who was the first female horticulturist. The children enjoyed completing observational drawings of a range of plants.
Planting a selection of wildflowers.
The children closely observed the structure of a selection of plants, comparing the roots, stems, leaves, petals and flower heads.
We looked at plants in our school environment. We talked about our observations, compared and named the parts of the plants.
