Which plants are in our food?

Our onion bulbs have started to grow tall and our lettuce seed is just beginning to grow. We are excited to see how long it takes for our corn and squash to start to grow.

We observed the changes every day and recorded our observations.

Observing the seeds.

We observe what each one looked like and drew our observations.

We planted the seeds in the same containers. We put one on the windowsill with no water, one in the cupboard with no light, one in the fridge with no warmth and we put two on the windowsill with water, warmth and light from the sun.

What do plants need? We made predictions about whet would happen to the cress seeds if they had no water or no light or no warmth.
