Amazing Work!

Spring 2

Please choose one option below and complete your assignment by the 27th March 2023. Return your completed work to school for a celebration of your achievement and marking.

Art

We are exploring the work of artists Georgia O’Keefe and Escher this half term. We are experimenting using different sketch techniques and looking at scale, proportion and perspective. Look at the two attached PowerPoints below and follow the link to the Tate Kids website. Your  task is then to create a piece of artwork in the style of either artist.

Science

We are studying Skeletons and Movement this half term. We will be discovering that humans and some other animals have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement. Follow the links below to explore human and animal skeletons. Your task is to create an annotated model of a skeleton or create a document of your choice to demonstrate your findings. This could be a PowerPoint presentation, poster or leaflet, the choice is yours.

English

This half term we are finding out about playscripts. We have looked at the features of playscripts and we have watched a performance of ‘Scrooge’ in school. You have a choice of possible tasks to complete. Firstly, you could create your own playscript, carefully considering characters, settings and stage directions. Secondly, you may wish to design a set by creating a model box. A model box is a scaled-down, 3D model of what the designer thinks the set should look like. Follow the link below to see a model box for the Beauty & the Beast stage show.
