Rights and Responsibilities
Who helps us stay healthy and safe?
We talked about different people that help us. We wrote our ideas to explain what their responsibilities and duties might be. We discussed how they are trustworthy. Then we added ways in which we could help make their jobs easier.
We looked around class to see what we thought might have cost a lot of money. We discussed the idea of expense and how money is obtained through work or other enterprise. We shared our ideas for items that would have cost money to buy in the home. Then we tried to think of other costs, such as bills.
Diamond 9 - Expenses
We shared our ideas here to decide which of the nine was the most important to our lives and which was a 'want' rather than a 'need'.
Tax
We discussed how adults can pay tax and how this money is used to pay for public services, including education.
