Sound

During science this half term we will learn that sounds are caused by vibrations. We will explore and investigate how sounds travel from an object, through a medium (usually the air), travel into the ear where they are carried down the ear canal and processed by the brain.

Before starting our sound unit we shared what we already know… we will add our hot new knowledge at the end of the unit to consider how much we have learnt.

Sound Circus

We started our topic off identifying what we already know about sound. We then had a great time making a lot of noise exploring sound. 

Today we discovered how we hear sounds. We also planned a short film that will teach the year 2 children how we hear sounds and how we can prove this to the younger children- look out for our films  next week.
