Dance
The children created a storm sequence, starting with the wind, then rain and finally calm.

The children have created a sequence, staring with the sun coming out, then it starts to rain and finally the wind begins to blow.
As part of our dance topic, the children have been exploring weather. They moved like the wind, swaying from side to side; relaxed in the sun and jumped in the puddles from the rain.
We watched a clip from Toy Story, where the toys have to dodge the obstacles to cross the road. We descussed road safety and reinacted the clip. Some of the chidren were the obstacles and some were the toys travelling across the road.
The children have been investigating the movements of Toy Story characters. They have been travelling around the room using different gestures and pausing to greet each other.
