Outdoor sculpting with natural materials. We worked brilliantly in pairs.
Making hanging stick sculptures in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
What an amazing opportunity to make the most of the snow! We really enjoyed taking part in outdoor learning! We took clay tools outside and made Andy Goldsworthy inspired pieces of artwork in the snow. Some of us sculpted, some simply etched in the snow whilst others added natural items found around the playground such as twigs and leaves.
We explored the 20 permanent works of art at Ribble Valley Sculpture trail. We then worked collaboratively in pairs to design a new art installation suitable for the area.
