Cookie Excavation - We excavated the cookies with toothpicks, carefully chipping away at the dirt (cookie) to slowly reveal any hidden fossils (chocolate chips)

We enjoyed investigating a variety of rocks. We tested the durability, permeability and whether the rock samples of: chalk, slate, sandstone, granite, limestone, marble, basalt & pumice floated or sank.

Comparing rocks - we studied two chosen rocks carefully using magnifying glasses. We explored the similarities and differences.

We really enjoyed exploring a variety of rock activities at different tables.
