The Year 1 children enjoyed creating a double page spread about Neil Armstrong and Katherine Johnson!
We enjoyed learning about the life of Katherine Johnson. Using her mathematics skills, she helped NASA send astronauts to the moon and return them safely home. She was called the "human computer."
We have been learning about some of the equipment Neil Armstrong and his crew took into space. Can the children remember what they are and what they were used for?
We enjoyed eating astronaut ice cream!
We created a simple timeline!
We have been re-enacting the first moon landing!
