We went to observe our four study trees and discussed the changes that have occurred over time. We used the key vocabulary - deciduous and evergreen to describe the trees. The children were shocked to observe that the oak tree, sycamore tree and the horse chestnut tree were bare! We did spot the buds which are beginning to grow on those trees.
