Animals

What have the animals been eating? Are they carnivores, omnivores or herbivores? How do you know?

Writing our riddles. What am I? I have a fluffy tail, I am a herbivore, I have long ears, I enjoy hopping and jumping.

Zoo Lab

What an amazing day! The children have had a wonderful time learning all about the different animals fetched into school by Zoo Lab.

Carnivores, herbivores and omnivores - what do we eat?

The children then drew and labelled two different animals to compare. The frog has wet skin and the dog has fur - AB. The shark and the lion both have sharp teeth -OH.

The children discussed the structure of a variety of animals with their partner. My animal has feathers - BB. This animal has tusks -HW.

The children have been sorting a range of animals into different categories using a Venn diagram.

The children labelled the name of a selection of animals. There was a lion, a spider, a snake and an elephant. They then sorted the animals into groups using different criteria - fur and no fur; can fly and cannot fly; has legs and no legs.
