Clitheroe Castle War Memorial
Today we examined the significance of the War Memorial at Clitheroe Castle. We found out that it commemorates service men and women who lost their lives in the First World War (1914 - 1918) and the Second World War (1939 - 1945). We then found out about the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day and how it helps us to remember the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
We then made our own potato print poppies. These are going to form part of a whole school Remembrance display.
