The children decided to work together to create a number line. Their explanations for what they added to the number line were brilliant. "I'm putting a triangle on number 3 because it has 3 straight sides." Excellent team work and independent learning!
We needed to find the container that could hold the most cereal for Baby Bear. The children initially thought that the tallest container would have the largest capacity, but that wasn't the case!
We have been using the language of "full", "empty", "nearly full" and "nearly empty" to describe the volume of our containers.
Exploring 3-D shapes! We know that 3D shapes are solid, not flat.
We have been measuring the height and length of different objects using non-standard measures. Can the children tell you what the difference between height and length is?
We have been exploring length!
We have been looking at teen numbers as a group of ten and another number.
We have been partitioning numbers. Miss Lancaster has been amazed by the children's understanding.
