Charity Day
The charity we focused on was Shelter
The children considered what are acceptable standards for a home then created a piece of word art using the words they had come up with as a class group.

The children made a money box in the shape of a house to collect pennies to donate to the charity shelter. When they have collected enough pennies to exchange for a 50p piece they can bring it to school. When we have collected enough 50p pieces to fill the Shelter challenge chart ( all KS1 ) then we will forward it to the charity. This will be ongoing.
