Me and My Relationships - Block of Learning.

We read about all the different types of families... We discussed how all families are different and come in all shapes and sizes. We then drew what our families looked like. We enjoyed 'role-playing' families in our Home Corner. We thought about the people who could help us if we ever felt unsafe. We drew these people inside our own 'Safety Circle''. We discussed what makes a good friend... Before discovering some friendship dilemma cards. We used drama to role play how best to resolve the scenarios. Children helped Miss DeRosa to be a good friend. It was lovely to see the children in role

Our class value is Kindness. 

 

We have been thinking about when we have been kind to others. We read 'Kindness is my Superpower' and it helped us to understand how being kind to others can make you feel good too!

We then wrote sentences about when/how we have demonstrated the value.
