Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar

Today in class we are learning about using commas in lists. When writing a list, you should put a comma between each item, except for the last item where you use ‘and’.

For example: "I need to go to the supermarket to buy eggs, milk, bread, sugar and orange juice."

We are going to think about what we might pack in a suitcase when going on holiday and write a list of items.

English

Our current English topic is Paddington Bear. We are going to compare the text to the film narrative. We are focusing on the beginning of the story when the Brown family meet Paddington. We will consider the differences and similarities between the film and the book and record these on the table included in today's resource folder. The film clip can be viewed here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCgnuhb45ik&list=RDx2jA265cUY4&index=20&safe=active Chapter one of the text can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrUxPpApO5o&safe=active

Maths

Today we are going outside at the start of our Maths session to take part in Maths Aerobics. We will count in 2's, 5's and 10's whilst completing a range of Aerobic moves. We are also going to count on in 10's from a given number. For example, 43, 53, 63 and so on.

We are then going to be recalling multiplication and division facts for the 2 times table. You will find this sheet in the resource folder.

Science

Our current Science topic is Electricity. We are going to watch the clip https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zwqd7ty and then we are completing an A - Z of common electrical appliances which run on electricity. This can be found in the resource folder.
