Oxfam Hurricane Appeal

We decided to look at the Oxfam Hurricane Appeal as we are studying natural disasters in Geography.

In the morning, we made windsocks to show the key information linked to Hurricane Irma and thought about the emotions felt by those concerned. Then we planned our emergency survival checklists.

In the afternoon, we designed and made hurricane shelters. The shelters had to be strong enough to support a tennis ball and sound enough to stay standing when faced by a wind ( a hair dryer).
