Being My Best

We were really fortunate to be involved in a skipping workshop on Friday afternoon. We know the positive impact exercise and getting outdoors can have on our health and well-being.

We considered the best ways to care for our physical and mental health. We designed posters to encourage others to look after themselves in the best way possible. We worked beautifully individually and in pairs.

We found out Harold the giraffe wasn’t feeling well. We discussed what might be wrong with Harold and what might have caused his illness. We discussed what we can do when we are not well to get better. We discussed staying hydrated, eating well and getting lots of rest. We then explored some medicines. We looked at what they might be used for, how to store them safely and the importance of adult intervention and seeking medical advice. We discussed dose/dosage, looked at the warnings on the packaging and safety features such as braille.
