We enjoyed finding out about an important symbol of the Christian faith today. We made our own Christingle and discovered what the different parts symbolise.
We found out about a special prayer called The Lord's Prayer. Christians believe this is the prayer Jesus told his disciples. We discussed some of the meanings and drew pictures to represent some of the themes.
We discussed dark times people may have in their lives and we discussed who might bring light in those times to make things better.
We discovered that Jesus is referred to as 'The Light of the World'. We lit LED candles and explored light and dark. We then wrote acrostic poems about how we bring 'light' to the lives of others.
