Week 4
This week we have been investigating shadows through a range of experiments. We have looked at the the size and shape of a shadow. We know that a shadow is formed when a light source is blocked by a solid object.
Week 3
This week we have been investigating shadows. We made shadow puppets and discussed different materials. We talked about the following terms: translucent, transparent and opaque.
Week 2
This week we know and understand that dark is the absence of light. We tested our ideas by using pin hole boxes with hidden objects. We had to consider if some objects were harder or easier to see. We tried to use our scientific knowledge to consider why.
Week 1
This term our topic is 'Light'. Look around your home. Where can you find a light? Make a note of your findings ready for your homework.
