Summer 2: Toys
W/C 15th July
Ninja Words - wrapped up, join, forgetful & careful.
Joining materials. How can we join materials? Can we make a teddy bear friend for Ted which joins together and can move? What is the best joining tool to use? Can we join models in the construction area without the brackets which usually join them? How much paper can you join to make a paper chain?
Addition using a part whole model.
Excellent teamwork and creativity to build and write signs for your super castle!
W/C 8th July
Inventors! We discussed how inventors need to be creative and have genius ideas. We used our creativity to make our own inventions!
Creating and describing repeating patterns.
We enjoyed being athletes, running different races as a team!

In Music, we have been learning how musicians follow a special instructions (score) to know what music to play. We followed a picture score to play music to sound like a train ride.
Using 1p coins to pay for 2 items.
Using 1p coins to pay for amounts up to 10p.
Thank you Reverend Judith for welcoming us into your church, and teaching us about special signs and symbols! We enjoyed exploring the church, talking about what we could see and listening to a prayer.

In maths this week we have been exploring teen numbers.
We have been learning about Eid-al-Adha. We thought about who we would give a gift to.
We read the story ‘Train Ride’. We thought about all the things we might see on a train journey. We turned the carpet area into a train, we made tickets and took it in turns to drive the train and serve from the buffet car (milk time!) All aboard!
