Summer 1 - food

We began our DT lesson by looking at some chefs and discussing how they are designers. They evaluate their food as they are making it.

Investigating vegetables - developing a food vocabulary using taste, smell, texture and touch.

Exploring and evaluating existing products. We investigated how they were made and noticed that the chef had used grating, slicing and thought about colours.

We have explored cutting, grating, peeling, slicing, squeezing and chopping a range of ingredients in preparation for making our salad.
