Summer 1

Bees, bees, bees! We enjoyed learning about bees and their importance.

We enjoyed the story of the "Snail Trail." This story is one of Miss Lancasters favourites!

We created our own “Snail Trail” stories! The snail went up the old castle, through the fun playground and even past the jellycat shop.

Our story map! Can the children retell the story?

We found a silvery trail!

Ask us about these words!

Writing speech.

We have been retelling the story of “The Very Busy Spider.” Can the children share the story with you?

To learn more about spiders, we used non-fiction books. We put all of our new information into a fact file. Can the children tell you something interesting about spiders?

We have enjoyed lots of spider themed provision! 🕷️

A giant spider web appeared in our classroom! We discussed what we already knew and what we wanted to learn about spiders.

We used our own faces to create our favourite minibeasts. We have been writing riddles in the hope that the reader won't figure out who we are!

Before searching for little creatures in our wildlife garden, we loved listening to "Mad About Minibeasts.”
