Our topic this term is plants. We will be naming plants in the local environment and looking at their basic structure.
Can you recognise a daisy, bluebell, dandelion and a buttercup? We compared the flowers to help us identify them.
We have been looking at leaves. We compared and sorted leaves. We used the leaf shapes to help us identify trees. We found the holly, oak, horse chestnut, wild cherry , willow and pine trees in our school playground.
We have been comparing plants. We looked at the different parts and named them. We know that some plants are real and they grow, some plants are artificial, they don’t grow
We observed plants around school. We noticed that they grow in different shapes, sizes and colours.
