Exploring the suffix -ing. We created firework pictures using chalk and added vocabulary such as fizzing, swirling, zooming and sparkling.

This year the theme for National Poetry Day is counting. We looked the poem 'The Terrible Ten' by poet James Carter. We each decorated a mask representing one of the ten creatures. We practised the lines and performed the poem as a class. We wrote our own version of the poem too.
