Autumn 1

Posing questions to each other in order to guess the traditional tale character to begin our English unit.

Creating a sentence which begins with a capital letter, ends with a full stop, has clear word spaces and makes sense.

We began our main text ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ by Joanna Nadin. We paused at page 7 in order to predict what we thought would happen to Lily.

We wrote down what we thought Lily was saying when the goblin said he wanted her first born child.

We wrote down adjectives to describe how Lily must have been feeling in the market. We then wrote a sentence with adjectives in.

The application of and in a sentence

We used sketchbook on the iPads to draw and talk about our predictions of what we thought happened to Rumpelstiltskin at the end of the story
