Sex badge

We are thrilled to have achieved our  Sex badge. We have worked hard this year and have focused on the following :

  • Continuing to develop a culture that celebrates similarity, difference and diversity and one in which all children and young people can see themselves represented and valued.
  • Further developing a  curriculum that provides opportunities to explore, understand and prevent stereotypes and all forms of prejudice
  • To invest in resources used to ensure lessons reflect gender/sexual equality and there is equal representation of men and women in a variety of roles.
  • To closely monitor gaps in attainment between boys and girls.
  • To develop use of non-stereotypical language within school and to challenge sexist language or statements when we hear them.
  • To  invite visitors into school who are in roles/occupations that do not conform to gender stereotypes.
  • To provide CPD on sex/gender equality.
