This week in UKS2 has been fantastic. Our Year 6 children have absolutely smashed their SATs, showing how hard they have all worked over the year—well done to each and every one of them! To celebrate their effort and determination, they were rewarded with a well‑deserved ice cream at the end of the week. Today, all of the children also took part in Sports Day, where everyone cheered enthusiastically for their teams and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout. It has truly been a week full of achievement, teamwork, and pride.

This week in UKS2 has been full of learning and activity. In English, our Year 6 children have been working hard revising key skills in preparation for their SPaG SATs, while Year 5 have begun planning their own Arabian Nights stories, with a strong focus on developing rich character and setting descriptions. In PE, we have been getting ready for Sports Day by practising a range of events, including shot put, running, skipping and jumping. Finally, in art we have been exploring henna patterns and their origins. We looked at lots of different patterns and the children even had a go at creating their own design.

This week in UKS2 has been full of exciting learning and fresh air! In science, we continued our work on light, learning more about how light rays travel and how our eyes help us to see the world around us. In geography, we launched our new topic on the importance of energy sources, exploring where energy comes from and how different countries trade energy with one another. We were also delighted to finally enjoy some sunshine, heading outdoors to complete the Easter Bunny Run, which was a fun and active way to end a busy week.

This week in UKS2, the children have been working hard across a range of subjects. In maths, they have been learning about algebra, exploring patterns, expressions and simple equations. In history, we have been studying the Sikh Empire, learning about its significance and locating where it was geographically. Finally, in English, the children have been reading One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, writing vivid setting descriptions and practising how to blend speech with action to enhance their storytelling skills.
