    Week 1

What a superb first week back. In English we have started to immerse ourselves in our new text 'Traction Man' by Mini Grey. We started the week predicting the title of the book and what it might be about by examining the front cover. We are really enjoying the book so far. This week we have completed our artwork for the exhibition, we cannot wait for everyone to see it! In Maths this week we have been exploring 2D shape. We described them according to the number of sides and vertices and whether any of the sides or vertices were the same size as each other. We also recapped rounding to the nearest ten during one of our starters this week. Mrs Kennerley was very impressed with our 'sticky' learning - our ability to recall learning from the past. In Geography this week we explained what the coast and coastline are and recapped our knowledge of physical features.
