  • Autumn 2

Welcome back to the Autumn 2 term! We’re excited to continue our learning journey with our rich and engaging curriculum. In English, children will be exploring fables, persuasive letters and poetry, helping them develop both creative and critical writing skills. In Year 3 Music, pupils will be composing their own pieces, building on their understanding of rhythm and melody. Our History lessons will continue to focus on children's lives in the past, while in Geography we’ll be diving deeper into the fascinating world of volcanoes. In Art, children will be experimenting with collage and printing techniques to express their creativity. We look forward to a term full of curiosity, creativity and growth!

    Week 4

In English, we have been using prepositions in our writing to describe the position or direction of an object in relation to another. We took our learning outside onto the playground to show our knowledge.

In PRSHE this week we have been looking at what makes a good friend, how we can be a good friend to others and what to do if a relationship is bad for us.

    Week 3

This week we have been studying fables in particular the town mouse and country mouse. We discussed whose house we would prefer to live in and why.

In maths, we have been using known multiplication facts to help us solve tricky multiplication questions.

    Week 2

In PRSHE this week, we have been looking at how we can make friends, what makes a good friend and how we can compromise in our relationships. The children discussed the different relationships within their lives and showed how they can be great friends to others.

    Week 1

In year 3 we love staying active using Imoves, one of our favourite songs to move to is eye of the tiger. Using Imoves helps us keep focused and energised within lessons.

In English this week, we have been exploring lots of different fables. We have mainly focused on the town mouse and country mouse, comparing their lives and discussing whose life we would prefer to live.
