This week, children will be focusing on a mix of familiar and challenging words, especially in terms of spelling.
Our main focus is on what these words have in common:
To help children understand and remember these patterns, we’ll also introduce related nouns. These will act as clues to help determine whether the /sh/ sound in the ending comes from a ‘c’ or a ‘t’.

This week we will be looking at our own spellings, focusing on the words we find tricky to spell. We will also be focusing on several words we have found difficult to spell as a class.
