This week, some of our KS2 pupils had the chance to take part in a bowling competition against 20 other schools. The children worked brilliantly together and enjoyed the experience, with some fantastic bowling on show and a lot of spares. We are very proud of how the children conducted themselves.
Our year 5/6 football team recently participated in the Lancashire County Finals in an amazing opportunity/experience playing some of the best teams in Lancashire. The boys gave it their all but unfortunately didn't make it past the group stages. The most pleasing part of the day was how many other schools commented on how the team conducted themselves on the day and how they were the best team they had played against that day. The team should be very proud of their achievement and are looking forward to their upcoming league matches and their chance to represent Accrington Stanley.
Our 3/4 football team did amazingly well the other night finishing first in the competition. The boys should be very proud of their handwork to get to the final against some very tricky opposition.

Our children did us all immensely proud today securing the chance to represent Accrington Stanley in the Regional finals after winning a highly competitive tournament today against some of the best players in the area. All of the team worked really hard and were a credit to themselves on and off the pitch. They all should be very proud of themselves for what they have achieved and be looking forward to the next round of the cup with the chance to play at Wembley!

We are thrilled to share the fantastic results from the recent Ribble Valley Cross Country Event! Our boys and girls teams each finished first in their sections, which meant we came first overall as a school—an amazing achievement. Out of the 12 children who took part, 9 have now been selected to represent the Ribble Valley team in June. The children are very excited, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and determination. Well done to everyone involved!

Our year 5/6 girls team performed brilliantly in the Ribble Valley Girls Kids Cup Tournament. Winning their group and progressing all the way through to the final. The girls battled hard but unfortunately lost the final on penalties. They should all be very proud of their performance in the competition and be looking forward to their league matches later on in the school year.
