Odd socks day was on Monday 10th November. It is a fun event that marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week, encouraging people to wear mismatched socks to celebrate individuality and uniqueness. It promotes the message that it's okay to be different and is a way to raise awareness of bullying and promote kindness and acceptance. Thank you to all children and staff for wearing odd socks on this day and for making such colourful sock bunting to display in our school hall.
Remembrance Service Our school councillors represented Pendle at the Remembrance Service, on Sunday 9th November, at St Mary’s Church and then at the Castle cenotaph. They joined in a parade, followed by a church service and then a procession to the cenotaph. They carried a wreath made by children and our Year 6 councillors placed it on the cenotaph. We were very proud of them all.
🌟 Macmillan Coffee Morning Success - £690 raised – Thanks to Year 6! 🌟
We’re thrilled to share the wonderful success of our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning, held to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised an impressive £690 to support this vital cause — and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible help of our Year 6 pupils!
From welcoming guests and serving cakes to helping with setup and tidy-up, Year 6 showed fantastic teamwork, responsibility, and enthusiasm throughout the event. Their smiles and energy helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the morning extra special.
A huge thank you to all the parents, carers, and staff who donated delicious treats, came along to support, and contributed so generously. Your kindness and community spirit truly made a difference.
We’re proud to be part of such a caring school family — and proud of our Year 6 stars for stepping up and helping make the event such a success!
Together, we’ve brewed up something brilliant for a great cause. ☕💚
