Autumn 2 - Christianity
We made Christingles.
We found out that Christians believe Jesus is like a light in the darkness providing comfort, hope and guidance. We made candle sun catchers and displayed them on the classroom windows.
We talked about how Jesus is the Light of the World as written in the Bible. We then considered how we can be a light to others when they are sad or in a dark mood. We listed the qualities needed to bring light to others ... kind, helpful, cheerful, loving and generous. We then interpreted the words in the Bible through art.
Whilst learning about Advent and how Christians prepare for Christmas we made wreaths and discussed what each candle represented.
